Ever tried pickled green tomatoes?
They are surprisingly yummy.
Are your pickles fermented?
Green tomatoes are best just washed, quartered (or smaller), stuffed into jars and then filled with near boiling brine. After about six to eight months the acid makes them awfully mushy, but they usually don't last near that long around our house - they get eaten up pretty quickly.
