RE: It's an eyesore. Not on the level of the Nissan Juke, but still.

Just bought our daughter a new Crosstrek yesterday. Don't actually take delivery until the last week of July. It's in the build queue. I have never in my life ever had to wait for the car I wanted to be delivered.

Was odd visiting the dealership and there being virtually no cars on the lot. Our salesman, who sold the wife and me our 2018 Outback in the Fall of 2017, told us that the 2011 Outback we traded in on that '18 Outback was very recently traded in again by the folks that bought it after we traded it. He said they allowed more on it this time than they gave us for it in '17, and that they sold it yet again for more than they resold it for the first time. That's how different the market is today than four years ago. Amazing what a little pandemic can do to our just-in-time-markets and product availability.
