Yeah, tell me about it.
Contractors are getting killed already on the gas tax. It's typical for them to drive 30-50 miles to the jobs and may need to run errands in between for materials and then drive home, 100 or more miles a day isn't rare, $5 more a day in taxes.
Collecting the fees annually would be a terrible shock. Here's your $2,000 mileage bill.
