RE: right of the public to protect itself


There are numerous criminal penalties for stupid/negligent/dangerous behavior that puts the public at risk. Probably even thousands of such statutes.

We just need a few more of those statutes - at the federal level - around gun access. Should be no big deal.

After the first few thousand or so gun nut fools get locked up in federal prison (no parole in federal prisons) for leaving guns accessible, the word will get around.
