Actually, I'm probably more of a B. Checks and balances generally do work, regardless of who thinks they are in control. Regardless of how hard the whack-jobs (from either end of the spectrum) try, there are enough sensible people and processes in place to keep them from getting very far with their agendas.
Absolute trust (aka blind faith)--NO--I question everything.
