RE: Great article about the CA homeless issue, worthy of any thinking person's time, IMHO

legislation intended to 'decriminalize' the various states of this human condition always comes with a reality spanking for wishful thinking

interesting article though it still has a stitch of victim blaming and shaming, possibly from the pernicious 'both siderism' in pop 'journalism' ... because being driven to homelessness sure wasn't on the majority of these folks bucket list after their world blew up in their faces

as an aside it's a fact that when funding for mental health remediation goes down the ranks of the homeless goes up ... those who are adrift stay adrift without a lifeline ... while many don't start out with 'issues' despair has a way of creeping in and fueling them
