Typically a high pressured gas pipeline has a 50 years life cycle but the oil pipeline will last longer as it doesn't have to deal with high pressure to transport its content. Depending on the viscosity of the oil the pipeline will need between 500-1400 PSI of pressure for the oil to flow.

The Enbridge Line 5 pipeline is way over specs and overbuilt, barring an accidental hit by a hard object of any kind it should last for a while yet.
