...so true--especially with the Japanese auto manufacturers. A new Civic, Sentra, or Corolla is the same size or larger than an old Accord, Maxima, or Camry.
On the American side, it's mainly trucks. A new Colorado or Ranger is as big (or bigger) than an old C/K-series or F-150--and the current line-up of "full-size" trucks are just huge. And the new truck-based SUVs will dwarf the old Jeep Cherokees/Grand Wagoneers--which were "big" back in the day.
