I used to fly radio controlled sailplanes. Hawks etc., would fly with us and us them, when one or the other found a thermal. A few times our sailplanes would be attacked. Typically they would grab the tail with their talons, puncturing it, and they would let go, stay at altitude and watch as we dove to get away. The predator would tuck its wings, drop and attack again. I had heard that more colorful the RC sailplane the less likely to be attacked, no idea if that is correct.
