RE: Everyday now, mass shootings in the land of the free. What solution should

I don't know what the solution is. I do think that in a country which loves guns as much as does the US perhaps these events are inevitable. So often following these events there are the usual expressions of sorrow, and the meaningless "thoughts and prayers". Following that, gun purchases often increase. I wonder sometimes if collectively we've decided that we'll tolerate these shootings rather than give up our guns. And even if gun ownership was banned for all except military and law enforcement would that fix the problem? No, I don't think it would. It's the wrong answer and would make criminals of those who have no intention of harming another human being. Added to that is the impossibility of enforcement.

When I say "we" and "our" I'm speaking very generally. I know there are exceptions. I don't hate guns or gun owners. But I see no end to these shootings.
