Yes it does help you move from stopped.
But once you get moving and you need to slowdown or worse yet stop!
4WD does absolutely no good.
Also 4WD doesn't help when your sliding on ice or packed snow.
Our 4WD FORD Five hundred showed the fallacy of 4WD vs FWD.
We owned both.
My RWD Benz with snow tires would of run circles around either
the FWD or AWD version.
