Good ice/snow tires are the most important thing for winter driving.
Years ago I drove a 1988 MB 300E.
Dreadful in the snow.
I bought a set of takeoff MB rims and had Bridgestone Blizzak
Ice and Snow tires. 205/70 15's instead of 195/65 15".
They enabled me to outrun every car, truck, and SUV on snow &
glare shinny ice. I could drive 60 mph on slick ice.
4 snow tires, best option.
