Dr Jha addressed the "how long" question today on GMA. He believes more than a year.I also echo his "how terrific" these vaccines are and how quickly they came to market. First challenge in July was development, second one in the fall was thorough testing and following approval in Dec, it's now a matter of optimizing production and distribution.
edit: There is actually more work to do behind the pharma scenes as variants are discovered. That process, however, will likely follow the annual Flu vaccine "formula-based-upon-which-flavors-are-mostly-found" thing.
