Isn't that true of ANY field?




Parents tend to be an important guidance.

Most new people I have seen in sport are mature young adults. Children are fairly rare.

But the popularity of shooting sport is growing exponentially.

When I started, we would have matches with 15-20 shooters, so we would be done by 1pm. You would just show up and shoot.

In recent years the situation changed drastically - you now have to struggle to get into most matches. There now is pre-registration, the matches are usually limited to 75 participants, and in many cases if you miss the registration by a minute, you are out - the match is full.

There are simply not enough matches for all wanting to do it.

Our club has changed... there is huge influx of new gun owners, who want to become members. Mostly people who have never had shot before.

So if anything, the gun ownership is growing... at least from what I see.

Many people bought guns after the recent unrests.
