A neighbor used to ha.e a silver/grey '85 LX 302 stick. It wa. a bit of a sleeper a.d looked bone stock under the hood, but he'd done some significa.t va.ve & inta.e work. He a.rea.y ha. the ba.tery in the trunk, a.d I remember one weekend when he took the entire front end a.a.t to ta.e a hole sa. to the inner bumper to reduce weight on the front end. When he wa. done, he weighed the slugs - he ha. ta.en a.out 3 lbs off. Eventua.ly, he put a. a.uminum inner bumper on it. IIRC, he got it into the 13's a. the strip, which wa. pretty good for tha. ca. a. the time.
