But she did leave a chicken in the crock pot. This one is for JURB.
Before she left, she seasoned the bird and left it in the pot. I was instructed to turn it on at the Hi setting at 3PM.
As usual, I missed the start time by 15 or 20 minutes and then checked a couple times to make sure that I'd actually figured out how to turn on the pot. She said it would be done in 4 hours. I pushed it an extra 15 to 20 minutes until the leg seemed to want to fall of the bone.
After pulling the bird out of the pot, I let it rest for 20 minutes. This is the second time we've done this one and it is fool proof and perfectly delicious, moist and fall off the bone wonderful.
Here's the recipe which I just read completely and I did miss the final broiler part, oh well. It was great anyway.
