He is willing to work on the vehicle himself and is going to buy a scooter to get himself around town and the car would be for "cruising" with the girlfriend.. He works less than a mile from home, but the girlfriend lives over 10 miles away and he sees her once or twice a week now time permitting. He is a late bloomer. He will turn 25 in a couple of months, but has NEVER had a drivers license until recently. Always just wanted his skateboard! We encouraged him to get his license but he wasn't interested until recently. He really is an "older soul"... He made me laugh today though, because the car has mismatched tires on it (though not in bad shape). I showed him some same size BF Goodrich radials on Costco's website and he told me "Dad, I'm going to put Michelins on it... they will smooth the ride out. I don't want performance type tires on it". I thought okay, I guess I don't have to worry about him hot-rodding around town in THIS car!
