we found a new way to celebrate here in New Orleans. The idea of house floats started as a way to keep the artists, who would normally be employed at this time, working. This is our DIY "house float". The beads are Christmas tree ornaments I painted Mardi Gras colors and drilled holes in the bottom so I could string them like beads.
