RE: A belated Christmas present arrived today


That pot looks great I always cook risotto in copper, the kernels don't break up! I have about 7 pieces of good French copper I have collected over the years from estate sales, I think the most I have ever paid was $40-50. My best find was a 5qt stock pot that weighs about 10# that I had re-tinned. I have had a few other pots done but I think I'm done collecting them. They sure look good after re-tinning but once you use them they will tarnish. I found a product called Blue Magic works the best with the least amount of effort or you could do it old school with a paste of salt and lemon juice or vinegar.
