In order to understand the income inequality/gap you have to consider the causes. Many of the causes have been insidious - for instance, outsourcing and workers being replaced with technology.
The potential solutions have been largely ignored and for far too long. There needs to be a greater focus on investing in focused education and employment training programs, etc.
