it's a last ditch therapy for elephantitus in humans and handed out in some E. European backwater areas out of desperation but I'll pass

it's sold at feed stores, there's been warnings about this since last spring not to self medicate with it
the drug has made the rounds before as a miracle cure for other ills
there's a buzz about it being 'registered' in other countries but that doesn't mean it's for humans no matter what Slovakia does with it"
As I suspected, you don't know what you are talking about.
Do not confuse the "ivermectin intended for use in animals" with ivermectin, Stromectol (R), the FDA approved drug. ( https://m-stg.pdr.net/drug-summary/Stromectol-ivermectin-391 )
Per wikipedia:
"Ivermectin is a medication used to treat many types of parasite infestations.[3] In humans, this includes head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic filariasis.[3][4][5][6] ...
...
Ivermectin was discovered in 1975 and came into medical use in 1981.[10][11] It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines.[12] Ivermectin is FDA-approved as an antiparasitic agent.[13]"
