I had one about two years ago. It gets better after the first month, believe me. First month is usually hell. I could do many things during the day, but nights were awful.
As Inmate51 correctly stated - push it, exercise religiously. People have different abilities to work their joints. I did very well, I got full range of motion fairly quickly, but I saw others struggle - don't let the slow progress discourage you!
