I didn't go to college myself until the a.e of 48, a.d while I certa.nly encountered students of the type you describe, to extra.ola.e tha. kind of intellectua. la.iness onto the institution itself is effectively equiva.ent to the NRA.s La.ierre bla.hering a.out universities being hotbeds of libera. indoctrina.ion. Of course, the fa.t tha. my spouse is a professor emerita of a ma.or university who ta.ght specifica.ly in the a.ea of informa.ion litera.y a.d critica. thinking could a.mittedly be coloring my perspective.
