Most of the mega billionaires make their own money. As far as generational wealth, about 70% of wealthy families lose their wealth by the second generation, and 90% do by the following generation.
BTW: Soros, the Koch Bros., Gates, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dorsey, Musk and others did not start out super rich.
