folks appreciate and understand what this means. Within my lifetime - and there likely ain't all that much left - I expect to see autonomous robots performing activities that were exclusively the domain of humans.

Definitely Asimov's vision of 50 years ago, coming to reality before our eyes.

Let's hope - although I expect it is a vain hope - that this technology will not be used for violence. I say vain hope because it mostly was paid for by the military and realistically we can expect them to exploit it.
