I think Trump could get a pass - the psychiatric association has said little due to oaths they take in regards to analyzing a person from a distance (Trump) but those who do talk have said that he suffers from all sorts of mental issues. It doesn't take a psych degree to know that he is a narcissist which is a part of being a sociopath/psychopath.
So, I don't think it would take much of a search for Trump to get a psychiatrist to go on record to say that he's a psychopathic narcist with dementia. Like - any psychiatrist/psychologist would render that conclusion. He still thinks he won the election and the voter fraud is real - so a psychologist could also add in that he is hallucinating and living in an alternate reality and suffering from paranoia. I mean the list of crazy is a long one.
In fact, it might actually be in his best interest to be deemed wackadoodle nuts so that he has a defense for his actions in court. The US always seems to be tougher on people than in other countries - "sorry I killed that family but I was high" so he gets 8 years and paroled in 3 because he had an excuse.
One just has to go on youtube and see Trump's speeches compared to Siri from Apple to see that he speaks in a jumbled mess of incoherence - there are mountains of non-partisan video evidence of trump incoherently speaking to illustrate a brain abnormality.
He could also get an IQ test which would reveal that he lacks a level of brightness to competently stand trial. A mental institution would be better than jail. If he were not rich - he'd be viewed as one of those nutters on the side of the road shouting "the end is near." He's a pitiable wretch of a man. So was Ronald at the end. Stem Cell research became suddenly acceptable when he got Alzheimer's. Only when it happens to them do they suddenly care about the issue.
I could not imagine Melania taking over like Edith - shudder. Oddly though, Jill Biden might actually do a better job than Joe! Looking at her CV - I'd vote for her over her husband!
