As a long suffering Chiefs fan who has endured a lot of lousy teams and watched an unreasonable number of inexcusable losses, I prefer the current incarnation. I agree with the KC Star columnist who, week after week, points out that the Chiefs have yet to play their best football. Right now, the only team that can be depended on to beat the Chiefs is themselves.
If Andy "Big Red" Reid is able to get the defense, offense, and special teams to all play their best game possible on a regular basis, they'll be truly impressive and feared throughout the NFL. Until that happens, I'll continue to cross my fingers, hurl insults and vulgarities towards the television, and try not to drink adult beverages until the game is over.
