I have traveled there - a friend who teaches at a school across the street was born there - a really nice place.

Can walk down any street at 3 am and not worry you'll be mugged.

They have strict laws but hey a man can walk out of a shop and not have a cop kneel on his throat to death - or have cops come into your house and shoot you dead while you're in bed sleeping.

Yes, you'll get corporal punishment for graffiti but then the US jails more people than any other nation so for minor drug crimes, you go to jail and get big bubba raping you. Thanks, I'll take the caning instead. At least I'll be alive - and everyone knows the laws there and knows what happens when you don't follow them.

It's nice to walk down streets without walls covered in graffiti and not ever stepping on chewing gum. It's nice to have very clean streets to walk down and no worries over vandalism or gangs of thugs where you would feel the need to race through sections of towns because you took a wrong off-ramp.

The trade-offs are not too bad for living your everyday life.
