No batteries, long cord and it's water resistant. I couldn't find them anymore when I wanted another one, so I bought 5 with mice for $50 on eBay.
I can't tell you how many times I've spilled water or coffee on my current keyboard. Just flip it over and shake out the liquid and let it dry a bit and it's good to go again.
