RE: New Car?

I am planning ahead for my return to Canada and investigating all sorts of cars. I don't have a real need for speed but I would like a nice looking car that is reliable. I live in a relatively small town and will be semi-retured or completely retired when I get home so it's basically take the movie theater or out to a restaurant, visit friends.

I am leaning towards the

Mazda Miata RF Automatic (yes an automatic) but the hard top is nice for wintery weather in BC - lots of rain.

Kia Stinger (if the car makes it another series) It won all kinds of reviews in the press and Doug Demuro bought it as his daily driver. It's better than some stiff competition even though it is far less money. The fully loaded twin turbo V6 is $50k Canadian new list. It's far more practical than the Miata is all wheel drive and still looks good. My friend also bought one so I'll see what he thinks after he has owned one for awhile.

Genesis G70 full loaded version - similar to the Kia - shares engine. Won car of the year.

I am also waiting on the new Toyota 86 to see what it does.

The Mustang GT was also on my list but it seems to have too many recalls on things that they really should not have recalls on.

Ford =
Fix Or Repair Daily.
Found on Road Dead.

I am less keen on Ford.

The Kia may be had a pretty big discounts because it just has not sold well.
