Before freezing bread, consider slicing it, if isn't already, into practical sized pieces. Then wrap the sliced bread with aluminum foil. Use a plastic bag that can sealed reasonably tight to store the bread in the freezer. The point is to be able to take out however many slices you need for your meal and repackage the remainder for the freezer before it thaws out.
