You need some place to HIDE. My response to wife? MAKE A LIST.

Also? When at the big box store OR grocery? you are allowed ONE PASS thru the store.
NO BACKTRACKING is allowed. I'll help with some things and push the cart. But endlessly wandering back and forth is NOT something I do.

Buy a REAL grinder (not a blade-type chopper) and some reasonable coffee. I like PEETS Major Dickasons Blend. Not over roasted or bitey. Most starbusks is over roasted.
When I'm feeling rich AND am way down south? I go do CAFE MOTO and head downstairs to the place where they roast / bag. LOTS of neat stuff down there including plenty of African Coffees. I like a blend of KenyaAA and Tanzania. Several other from East Africa are VERY nice.

OR? You could get some 'green beans' and learn to roast your own. In my experiments, I wait for the FIRST CRACK than cool / rest before grinding.
