California did 85.658 tests yesterday....

And there will be delays as we don't have the lab capacity to do that many in a day. Overall, we're running 6.1% positive and the majority, 57.7%, are Latinos. San Diego is doing better than most counties and LA is the worst.

However, the point is that if we can't get results in 24 hours, we're losing in any ability to contact trace and so forth. In addition, the 94% of negative tests don't mean much as those people may get infected on the way home from the test.

New Mexico might be able to have tested everyone in the state quickly and then what? Do you test everyone again and again to find any new asymptomatic people? How often will they test everyone?

I just saw an article today that Abbott has gotten approval for a 5 minutes test that will cost $5. This makes testing for schools and first responders or even businesses more effective at a cost that it reasonable for weekly or even daily testing.
