Ah, yes. Back in the 90s, we had a cut coin jewelry business called Cutter Coins. The coins were hand cut with tiny blades and plated with with gold after masking off the silver highlights. We actually had a booth at Sea World for a few years and a few other retail stores, but it was too labor intensive particularly for wholesaling to retail, so we wound it down eventually.
The coin on the bottom right pad with two dolphins was a big seller for necklaces and earrings. It's an Icelandic 5 Kronur. It's nickel and easy to cut as there's not much detail, but uses up blades quickly because is thick and hard. Cutting silver is much easier.
