One more Harley story for the road.

A few years back, I rode cross continent from Alaska to WA, then across to Newfoundland. As I got into the northeast and started funneling up to a Maine ferry connection, I kept running into the same other bikers more frequently. At times, several of us seemed to end the day at the same restaurant.

The others were mostly Harley riders, regaling each other with the day's feats of macho. One dude telling us he was slowed down, having to stop and repack his wheel bearings. I asked if his bike was built before the Korean War.

I was on a Suzuki. I had no tales.
