Most bicycle clubs stopped rides from March though June due to Covid, but are just now getting active again. If you're just getting started, there's usually an older group, many retired, that do social rides at a somewhat slower pace (avg ~13-15 mph) and shorter distance (30-50 miles) and stay together (don't drop slower riders). You can look at their schedule and find a route that suits your fitness level. (They carry masks for stops, but don't wear them while riding).
If you join them, you'll meet some very interesting people. They'll know great routes in your neighborhood you'll never find on your own. It's a lot more fun than always riding on your own all the time, even if you like to ride faster or slower.
