Too late - government was too slow to respond, apparently, so the Jays will play in Buffalo at the AAA complex. The Jays are actively working on the lighting to bring the AAA park up to MLB standards. In the long run this will benefit the fans of the Buffalo Bisons. The downside for the Jays is the smaller workout facilities and locker rooms - but then there is less travel time to other parks.

I think it would have been a massive headache to play in Toronto with all the quarantine rules - all the other teams having to cross the border etc. And with no fans in the seats - who really cares where they play?

I figured they could just play in the opposing team's park but be the home team for final at bat. No fan cheering advantage.

short season 16 teams make the playoffs and 4 teams can theoretically come from one division - so there is a small chance the Jays could make the playoffs. Just need to get hot for 30 games and not get cold at all - and there's a chance.
