Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome.

Don't be scared off. Clinics have protocols.

Mine for example, has an outside screening tent for anyone with symptoms; a cleaning station at the door; rules posted; strict delineations inside; masked and gloved personnel, and detailed handling procedures. Its about as safe as you can be in any environment. Appointments space people out in time and distance.

If your body needs hands-on, then those hands will be scrubbed and gloved -- ekg's, prostate checks, et al. Some routine items like temp checks are done without contact.

The more important blood and chem tests get samples from labs with same protocols. The needles and syringes are sterile. The hands are clean and gloved.

I don't see reasons to skip these things. There are a lot more things out there to worry about, so give them their due attention.
