But the study does not support the claim that protests don't spread the virus. In fact, the study presumes the opposite, that the protests did spread the virus, but their effect was offset by more non-protesters staying home, so in the aggregate it was kind of a wash.
The reason why I'm picking on it is because people should not jump to conclude that mass protesting is a safe activity.
