This pandemic is a long, long way from being over.
Europe has taken the hardest hit so far, but they got their shit together and reduced the spread of the virus to a manageable level, and then opened responsibly to a level of semi-normal that looks sustainable. It's hard to predict what's coming. They may slide backwards into a second wave, but so far it looks like their response was effective.
Same for New York. But most of the US has apparently learned nothing from the last 6 months and won't take this seriously until a NYC/Wuhan/Lombardy/Madrid happens in their own backyard.
