In Reply to: Sir Richard Dearlove believes COVID-19 originated in laboratory posted by Jay Buridan on July 6, 2020 at 01:49:08:
Dearlove has no background or expertise in virology and no data or facts to back up his opinion. He left the intelligence service 16 years ago, so even if somebody at MI-6 knows something, he wouldn't know about it. The world is full of know-nothing jerkoffs who enjoy media attention, and everyone is craving information about SARS-CoV-2. The result of that is the biggest avalanche of misinformation and speculation presented as expert opinion that I've ever seen in my life.
Nobody has publicly presented any evidence that SARS-CoV-2 was engineered, and most of the speculation has been debunked by scientists who have studied its RNA.
IF it did originate in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, what makes you think that anyone outside of China would ever find out? It would be the most secret of secrets, and China doesn't tolerate leakers.
