I actually agree with you but how will you be able to get that done? A big corporation can get the cars built in Mexico or China for peanuts. Why would any of them build in the USA.
The only people willing to work for the Mexican car manufacturing wages are - umm - the Mexicans but they're too busy picking fruits and being crapped on cause they're illegals.
You have to convince the corporations to sacrifice some profit to close their overseas plants and come to the USA. And as has been pointed out - the president was right to go on national TV and say that. Unfortunately he himself has not lifted a finger to implement it and he still makes his clothes in China. All talk - no action.
