Florida has a bad track record on Covid-19, starting with the mass crowds seen partying during spring break. They resisted issuing a stay at home order until April 1. They set guidelines for re-opening and then tossed them aside when they weren't met and re-opened anyway. And they had to embarassingly fire their Covid-19 data scientist because she wouldn't go along with cooking the books.
Now the governor is saying the spike is just a result of increased testing, even though test positive rate is going up and so are hospitalizations. The media is having a field day with this.
