Around here, I haven't seen a change in mask wearing. The people who were wearing them properly a month ago are still wearing them properly, and the people who were blowing it off a month ago are still blowing it off.
My state has been on a downward trend for the last month, but it's only a slight downward trend. We just re-opened a lot this week, including indoor dining. But not bars. We'll see whether the trend reverses in a few weeks. I suspect it will, but I will be thrilled to be proven wrong as I really need my kids back in school full time at the start of the next school year.
But out in California, especially LA, things have just been getting worse and worse through this whole pandemic. It hasn't caused a panic yet because the rate of case growth has remained manageable. But I think there might be a tipping point where we we'll see a sudden acceleration in case growth.
