If you are still at a cognitive impasse, ask yourself why masks "ONLY WORK" in grocery stores, but not churches, gun stores, ammo stores or other restricted businesses practicing the SAME SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS.

WAIT, STOP, BEFORE YOUR CONDITIONED IMPULSE KICKS IN, go back and reread that. Let it sink in. Why does the CV PPE PROTOCOLS ONLY WORK IN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS ??? Hint: ONLY because the lemming leaders told you so.


Nobody has said such a thing. As far as I can tell, this is a figment of your imagination. Unless you're absolutely certain there's no asymptomatic spreading in your community (which is impossible right now), always wear a mask anytime you're in public. And wear disposable gloves if you plan to handle merchandise that other people will have touched or will touch, like in the grocery store, or at least sanitize your hands when you enter and leave.

In early April, where I work, we were seeing several people get sick and test positive each week. Every time that happened, other employees who might have had contact needed to quarantine for two weeks, and work areas had to be shut down for a day for disinfection. And we were down to about 25% attendance.

Policies changed in mid-April. All employees were asked to wear masks when in public, they set up a checkpoint at the site entrance to temperature screen everyone, they give you a fresh mask when you enter, you are required to wear it on premises and dispose of it on your way out. They also put sanitary wipes everywhere and require you to wipe down any common equipment after you use it. Now we haven't had any positive tests for 3 weeks and we're back up to about 75% attendance.

This has happened while the surrounding area has been at peak case load. These measures really work, and are essential in getting back to work.
