With the exclusion of the UK and Sweden, the major economies of Europe will be on the road to economic recovery far sooner than we will. Same with Australia, New Zealand, Japan. And China and S. Korea are already there. We are going to lose global market share and market power big-time because we wouldn't do what's necessary to get over this wave of the virus quickly.
If we had actually locked down, like Spain, we could be on the tail end of it already, like Spain is. Instead, we seem determined (or resigned?) to let this drag us down indefinitely.
It's ironic that our national and state leaders who talk most about needing economic recovery are the ones trying to sabotage it.
