Starting when I was junior high age, I used to spray the yellow jacket nests under the eaves of our house with a can of Raid. I was always armed with a badminton racket to swat them/defend myself once they became agitated. I got to the point where if there weren't too many of them, I would just knock down the nest with a pole and just swat them dead as they attacked. I got pretty good with that racket. Talk about an adrenaline rush. Only got stung once or twice out of the many times I did that. Sort of became a fun game after a while. LOL
