In food service gloves are mandatory and you must wash your hands, for 20 seconds, and change your gloves when moving from one task to another or when soiled or torn. In food service the gloves serve as a barrier between you and the food so you don't contaminate the food. In this case it works the opposite, the gloves are to protect the wearer and after the groceries are put in the car or what ever other task is complete the gloves should be removed and discarded and the hands washed or sanitized before getting in the car and driving. Gloves should also be worn when bringing groceries in to the house and to disinfect groceries, they should then be discarded and and hands washed. I have a boundary, like when I get in the car, where I take them off so I don't contaminate the steering wheel and shift knob which I disinfect before I touch them. I read here some inmates trying to sterilize their gloves and reuse them, don't bother, use them once and dispose of them properly they are now a bio hazard. I have posted a video on how to remove disposable gloves. Careful it's a little sexy.
