I apparently was not clear enough in asking my question "And what politicians or experts (epidemiologists, public health officials/experts) called for such an earlier shutdown at the time?"
The context of my question was in regards to "United States" politicians or experts (epidemiologists, public health officials/experts). So my actual question to you is:
What "United States" politicians or experts (epidemiologists, public health officials/experts) called for such an earlier shutdown at the time? When I say "called for", I mean that they went "public", were in the national news, on the record, calling for an earlier shutdown.
Hindsight being 20/20, Monday morning quarterbacking is easy.
"professionals and experts" and "medical community" who did not sound the alarm publicly (access to the news media is rather easy) to the nation (United States), failed the public and nation.
Again, Hindsight being 20/20, Monday morning quarterbacking is easy.
