RE: NPR is the last word?

Didn't listen to the NPR program, but I'm guessing that the issues involve production in clean rooms and FDA approval.

I know that there is a least one small ventilator manufacturer in the States who is in the process of ramping up production. My suggestion would be for someone innovative like Elon Musk (who I believe has already offered to get involved in ventilator production) to partner with preexisting ventilator manufacturers to expand their manufacturing vs retooling auto manufacturing to make ventilators. Just an idea. There needs to be outside the box but common sense solutions. KISS - keep it simple stupid.
